ASA Universal Code of Conduct

ALLEN SPORTS ASSOCIATION PHILOSOPHY

The mission of the Allen Sports Association (ASA) is to provide the youth of Allen and surrounding areas with affordable opportunities for participation in a variety of sports within a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment. ASA believes that these opportunities not only help improve skills but assist in the enhancement of building self-esteem and character.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The Universal Code of Conduct (UCC) is designed and implemented to support the overall mission of ASA to ensure the well-being and safety of those whom the association serves: our children. The UCC is applicable to all ASA sports programs and provides guidelines for behavior and responsibilities to players, parents, volunteers, coaches, and spectators. This includes, but is not limited to, ASA facilities, events, activities, and extends to social media platforms.

GAME EJECTIONS

Any volunteer, spectator or athlete that is ejected from a game, by a game official, must leave the facility immediately.

Any ejected volunteer, spectator or athlete must serve a minimum of a one-game suspension at the next scheduled game, including post-season play-off & tournament games. Suspension includes attending the game as an athlete, coach or spectator. If no further games are scheduled, they must serve the suspension at the first game of the next season for any sport the individual registers for.

All ejections will be reported to the ASA staff & Volunteer Sport Commissioner who will issue formal suspension notice to the ejected individual. Ejection information will also be forwarded to the Executive Director and/or the ASA Ethics Committee for additional review and possible additional sanctions.

Any other infractions that are reported and do not end in an official ejection, but fall under the UCC, will be reviewed by the Volunteer Sport Board Commissioner, Executive Director and/or ASA Ethics Committee to determine if any sanctions need to be imposed.
